The Worst Dinner Ever

On Mondays I teach piano lessons until 5:30pm so dinners aren't usually stellar on these nights. (Except for Tuesdays when I teach until 6:00pm and dinners are usually frozen french fries.)

But not last night! I decided that we would have spaghetti, which is simple but tasty. So I started boiling my water and then got to work making chocolate parfaits for FHE dessert.

The water boiled, I threw in the noodles, finished making the parfaits and then opened the fridge to get the spaghetti sauce that was left over in there. But I couldn't find it. I looked on every shelf, sure it was hiding somewhere because I knew there was sauce in there somewhere!

There wasn't.

So I ran down to the storage room. No spaghetti sauce. We didn't even have tomato sauce to put on the noodles.

So what did I do? The girls and I sat at the kitchen table and ate plain spaghetti noodles with our fingers.

When Clay came home I told him of our "stellar" dinner. He didn't say anything, just dumped the rest of the noodles down the drain.

The parfaits were good, though.
